Cosmetic and Beauty Benefits of Camel Milk

by Robb Heering July 02, 2016

Legend and history say that Cleopatra used to bathe in camel milk to achieve soft supple skin, which is not surprising given that the milk contains lactic acid, a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), that helps soften and smooth the skin.

Camel milk also contains lots of collagen, elastin and vitamins B and C, elements that are not found in cows’ milk. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, which helps in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It also aids in Sun protection and damage caused by UV rays.

A natural source of skin softening alpha-hydroxyl acids, it addresses all acne causing skin-bacteria and its anti-inflammatory properties reduces skin redness and irritation.

Camel Milk:

Softens the skin; Lightens, brightens and illuminates skin; Evens skin tone and reduces the appearance of scars, freckles or sun spots;  Provides some sun protection; Moisturises skin and is easily absorbed without leaving skin feeling sticky or greasy; Exfoliates skin so you may notice dead skin cells being removed the first few times you use it; Prevents the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; Effectively treats skin problems including rosacea, acne and eczema.

Camel milk has both cosmetic and medicinal properties, nourishing and protecting the skin because it is naturally rich in:

Proteins; Anti-oxidants which exfoliate and brighten skin; Antibacterial agents which protect and maintain healthy skin; Anti-inflammatory agents which soothe sensitive skin; Antiviral agents; Vitamin A; Vitamin B1; Vitamin B2; Vitamin B12; Vitamin C; Iron; Immunoglobin which strengthens the immune system; Alpha-hydroxy acids which soften and smooth skin, even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The benefits of camels milk spans millennia.
